Re: What TV shows/dramas are you currently watching?

I finally got round to completing What's Wrong with Secretary Kim. Half a year later. I adore Park Seo Joon and the first episode was fun and zippy, but it quickly derailed from there. It wasn't bad per se, but the beginning raised my expectations and it just descended into... tepidness. Watchable, ...

Re: Totally Random Talk Thread

I think my friends and I have passed the point of exchanging gifts - we usually get together on a day other than Christmas, cook and purchase drinks. My family aren't Christian and celebrate Christmas in a traditional sense either, but it's a great excuse to gather for some good, old homecooked food...

Re: Totally Random Talk Thread

Glad to know your show went swimmingly (fluffed lines aside), and it's great how you manage to put yourself out there on a stage. I already loathe delivering presentations in large auditoriums. I absolutely adore theatre and had I gone down another career path, I would've picked stage management or ...

Re: What TV shows/dramas are you currently watching?

^ That's a shame to hear. Friends managed to sustain a lot of heart throughout their run, and the group always put their relationship with one another ahead of everything else. It was sweet. Oh, the agency/management/maintenance won't bother with that elevator. They've ignored, then trained/brainwas...

Re: What TV shows/dramas are you currently watching?

Latest series of Would I Lie To You? I also tried watching a recent episode of The Big Bang Theory and felt nothing. I know there have been complaints about the show's decline, but my reaction still shocked me. It's like going back to my younger days when I would try out some popular American sitcom...

Re: What book are you currently reading?

The playtext for 'The Inheritance' by Matthew Lopez. Magnificent show and I wanted to relive it through reading the book. The end of part 1 of the play was one of the most beautiful piece of theatre I've ever seen. As someone who is neither a gay man nor lived through the AIDS epidemic, I can't even...

Re: Are you like me?

Nope. I've only made bingsu or tried mashing a frozen banana.

Do you also have an irrational fear?
(Mine are birds, but I don't think it's that irrational...)

A tentative yay. I have never tried, but I'm not averse to the idea.

Re: Would You Rather...

Read. I am very much a daydreamer, but the commitment of putting pen to paper does not appeal to me. I'd be far too wrapped up in editing and 'perfecting' it. Would you rather relive the same day for the remainder of your life or have a new life everyday (i.e. there is no constant or people to form ...

Yes. Once. But with a bit of drink in me. I cannot say I'm keen to repeat such antics.

Re: First...

Considered expensive for a young teen at the time: my first pair of Converse. Otherwise, I can't remember as I do tend to gravitate towards more expensive purchases as I prefer quality over quantity (not that good value for money or good quality can't also be found at a lower price point.) My number...

Re: What TV shows/dramas are you currently watching?

ETA. Just started rewatching Yukan Club and it's obviously been a while. I didn't even realize the amount of Johnny's in there XD. I guess I first watched that series before I got into Arashi, because with VSA I'm recognizing a lot more faces than I did back then. I got through the first 8 episodes...

It's a Friday night and I'm too tired to move. I'm alone at home watching Let's Eat 3.

Re: Totally Random Talk Thread

My body was acting up in early January when my menstruation started within a week of the last one ending. That was a first. One day after that had ended, I was overcame with the flu. I struggled to sleep and later heard my flatmate talking (shouting?) on the phone at 4/5am - I would have crawled dow...

Re: Your journey in Arashi fandom

I was Jun-baited by Hanadan - it wasn't instant love, but I slowly found myself watching the behind the scenes then the live performance of Love So Sweet. Before I knew it, I was trawling the internet for Arashi-related videos. Fortunately, I was in school back then and used the internet for "homewo...

Re: YAY or NAY?

Generally, yay. But I try to restrain myself to smaller portions since I'm a fast eater and won't realise I'm already full. (Having said that, I'm half Chinese and still get shocked at some of the British serving sizes - even though I've been here all my life. America's are even greater.)

(I've got one unfinished since 1/3 of it are white pieces that I've gotten bored of looking at.)
