Re: Totally Random Talk Thread

pknumba1: I loved singing, but in a choir, I'm too shy to sing solo. XD My voice has changed and now because of a surgery and I find it hard to get on the right key to sing. :( I actually couldn't sing for like a year, and I'll never get my original high soprano voice again. True, I didn't remember...

Re: Totally Random Talk Thread

Well, around here there is no system for getting a job, after you graduate, you're on your own. We all make social service where you have to work or assist a researcher or professor, for free, for a certain number of hours. You can normally finish it as a sort of part-time job in a semester. But pr...

Re: Totally Random Talk Thread

pk: in here, all of those are careers. If you want to switch, you have to wait until Spring, and do the admission exam again, regardless of anything. Ten years ago, you could switch careers easier twice, but not anymore. I studied music, specializing in piano, and you have to start in junior high o...

Re: Totally Random Talk Thread

In public colleges in Mexico and some of the private ones, you don't just graduate like in the US, you have to either write a thesis, make an exam, write an essay, prepare a seminar, work for a year in something related to you career and write a report, publish an article and write an essay about i...

Re: Totally Random Talk Thread

So, how long does it take you guys to drive out of your country? I hear for some it can be a 2 hour drive. I live in Mexico, so... Something like 20-22 hours to get to USA, and 28 hours or so to get to Belize or Guatemala, from Mexico City. There are actually buses, some take you to San Diego in li...

Re: What TV shows/dramas are you currently watching?

I'm watching the second season of The Man in the High Castle. It's getting farther and farther from the book, but it's still interesting.

Re: How long have you been in the Arashi fandom?

I became a fan a bit after the 5x10, so somewhere between 9 and 10 years, I think. Maybe closer to 9, I can't remember exactly when I started as a real fan, but I started enjoying the music since about 2 weeks after I listened to it for the first time. ^^

Re: [OTHER] Arashi to be the main personality for this year's 24hr TV

It's so nice to see them do the 24hr TV, particularly now after the hiatus announcement. Let's hope for another tear-filled SP. I can't believe it's been so long. O_O

Re: Arashi to suspend activities in Dec 2020

No offense, but I hope you're wrong. :3 None taken. I hope I'm wrong too. ;) So I guess more people thought Ohno was behind this. It's good to know I was not the only one thinking like that. Maybe they'll go all crazy this year and give a lot of concerts before the hiatus too.

Re: Arashi to suspend activities in Dec 2020

So, I got it right when I thought Ohno had started this. That about as far as my feeling of triumph goes. Reading all that Judas posted, I honestly think they are breaking up. I dunno, I get that feeling except from Aiba. Like he is believing they'll come back. I kind of feel Nino is in shock and t...

Re: Arashi to suspend activities in Dec 2020

^This. I am so happy with the way we're reacting here. I've been hoping that we get a super awesome last album. That they go out with a blast, that would be awesome on many levels. ^_^ Chiba: I am so sorry stupid fans have treated you like that, and I can relate. But here, we're not like that, pink...

Re: Arashi to suspend activities in Dec 2020

...Why are they doing that? Sure, it was a sudden announcement but we're getting at least two more years. 'Cause they're childish and stupid. Like, really. A lot of the fanbase in my country are kind of mediocre wotas, and I've heard them saying really dumb things, like if they don't get concert ti...

Re: Arashi to suspend activities in Dec 2020

Now I really, really hope they perform at the olympic games. ^_^ I really don't know what to make of all this, and since SMAP retired, Arashi can do that too. I think they can be in a long hiatus or they can disband. Or maybe this hiatus is kind of a test to see if they want to get back or not. Or ...

Pk, I am so sorry to hear that. I know how hard it is to lose one of your parents, but I really value how you talk about donating his organs. He'll be so important to the people he helps, and somehow, a piece of him will live on. I hope you get better, but it's ok if you're really sad right n...

Re: General Chit-chat About Jun

I'm a simple person, I just want to see him in a kimono. XD Seems like my dream of somebody making a movie off the Parco CM with Right Back To You is slowly coming true. It'll be about an explorer, I think. Somehow reminds me of Shogun with Toshiro Mifune and Richard Chamberlain.

Re: Totally Random Talk Thread

I'm Mexican, and my first drink was vodka. XD I really like tequila, alone or with grapefruit soda, we call that a paloma (dove), and it's not as rough. Margaritas are a rougher than palomas. I also don't drink very often and I like to enjoy my drinks, so I don't like shots that much. Ever since I ...
