I'm finishing a 700-page fantasy novel that I didn't know was actually part 1. It was published as a prize in some competition for new authors, so I wasn't expecting it to be a start of a series (doesn't even hint at it anywhere in the book), with unknown chances of the rest of the books being written/published. It isn't ground-breaking or amazing to the point I absolutely need to know how it ends, plus it was dirt cheap, but still... do not like engaging in something only to find out there might be more.

Damn. I think I would be annoyed.

I'm currently reading Lee Child's Night School.

I actually ditched Lee Child's Night School 'cause I don't really like those army stories. Post-army, sure. Instead of it, I read Michael Connelly's The Black Ice and now I'm reading Ann Cleeves' latest book The Long Call.

It took me about forever to finish the last book and now I'm about to start reading Michael Connelly's Angels Flight.

I was reading the Book 2 of Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan. Then, I got tired of that. I mostly read nonfiction now tho, mostly philosophical books. I'm currently reading The Te of Piglet which explains aspects of daoism through the Winnie The Pooh characters. I realized that some of Arashi's philosophies are somewhat similar to it and stoicism.

Mage Winds - Mercedes Lackey.

I've been rereading quite a few of her Valdemar stories of late.

I got two new books last week and I'm currently reading Michael Connelly's The Night Fire. I like that it has Ballard, Bosch AND Haller :D
