Post by jxhide » Thu Dec 21, 2017 4:54 pm

Hi

I’m Julia from California. I’ve been an Arashi fan for almost 10 years. I recently got back into the fandom. My fav member is Ohno. Any fans living in USA or SoCal??

I live in Big Rapids! My Arashi journey is quite a process since I discovered them on my own. It started in 2014, when I got into Blue Exorcist. I watched it on Netflix and became a big fan. I saw the stage play which starred Hiromi Sakamoto as Rin. I soon became a big fan of him and wanted see what else he had been in, and one of them was Hana Kimi. He only played a side character so he didn't get much screen time or lines. It's okay though because I got distracted by Toma Ikuta as Nakatsu. So then I wanted to see everything Toma was in (I think I have by this point). Since Toma is so close with the members of Arashi, I was bound to see him with them. I saw an episode of VSA, and soon would only watch their episodes with him in them. Later, I started watching VSA and AniShi without him and grew to love Arashi themselves. It was still quite a few months before I listened to their music.

That's my story! XD How did you find out about them?

Hello! I am Virginia. I used to live in California, in Anaheim. But I moved to Virginia in 2009 for school and decided to stay. It is so much cheaper to live in Virginia than California. I have been into Arashi since 1999, so 18 years.

Hi! Wow you’ve been a fan from the beginning! That’s awesome. I hear Virginia is very nice and has the 4 seasons. 🙂 it seems to get more expensive living here every year. 😆.

Anyone ever meet up with other fans in your area?

There is quite a bit of snow where I live. We got dumped on for a couple days. It made driving very scary. It hasn't snowed that hard since, but we should be getting some more next week. It's gonna be cold!!

Welcome!! There’s gotta be more Arashi fans in Texas. Anyone part of the US Arashi Facebook group?

Try to stay warm. The snow got too much for me in Michigan. Especially the drive. Shoveling, deicing and the black ice 😆

Anyone go to the Hawaii 15th anniversary concert?

We definitely have the four seasons here. Although right now it can't make up it's mind whether it wants to be winter or spring. One day it is 34 degrees and the next it is 64. It is killing my sinuses. So far I haven't met anyone else in my area, but who knows, maybe I will in the future.

Actually she is! She and I studied Japanese at uni together and she's a big Nino fan~ xD

It snowed for a while where I'm at, but it mostly melted away.

I wasn't even born in Michigan, and yet I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. For me, winter doesn't last that long.

I supposed I did sorta get used to the cold while I was there. Now I’m completing of 60 degree weather 😆

How did everyone get into Arashi?

Hi! I'm from the midwest! Iowa to be exact and it's currently snowing :( I got into Arashi about 10 years ago? I watched Inuyasha on Adult Swim and loved the opening which was V6s Change the World of course. It's funny, usually someone would become a huge fan of anime but I ended up become a huge fan of JE groups xD So it went like this. V6 --> NEWS ---> Then Arashi in 07-08ish. I stuck around until 2011 when irl stuff happened and now I'm back here at the end of 2017! :D It gives me an excuse to marathon tons of Arashi shows so I'm not too sad :3

You sound like me! I also watched inuyasha and got into Arashi around 2007-8 and got busy with work around 2014 and came back to it this year. A lot of catching up too 😊 which part of Iowa are you from? I lived a few years in Des Moines. The people were so nice there. Don’t miss the snow though 😁

I love seeing old fans come back to fandom. I hope I never leave my boys. I can't see anything better than Arashi. I do think I may dwindle a little due to being busy with real life and all that, but my support for them will never falter.
