Copy-paste from the old place:
I think the first group I knew was V6 because of Inu Yasha. I was into anime way before I knew about Arashi. After V6 it was Tackey & Tsubasa. Then Arashi. I still like all three groups :)

So I'm curious to know how many people have known JE when they joined the Arashi fandom? :o
For me, I was already in HSJ fandom and Ya-Ya-yah fandom and NEWS fandom and probably KAT-TUN (I don't remember much) before I got into Arashi, so I knew about JE and stuffs.
So yes, I knew they were under the same agency.

I was already in smap fandom and through their shows, slowly got to know their juniors. I especially love to watch their interactions and that's how I discovered Arashi. Probably what caught me the most was their appearance on Utaban where Nakai hosted. It was so funny. The 'staged' fight by Nakai and Leader was too hilarious. I just couldn't stop looking up on arashi related stuff since then

Sorta knew about JE. Was really into jrock music. Then started watching. Arashi shukudai kun and sugoroku on the internet. Chiluba t shirts.
Those old shows were so funny.

I had absolutely no idea what Johnny's Entertainment was at the time. I got into Arashi back in 1999, when I was 10. I wasn't until 2004, when NewS officially debuted did I actually learn about JE.

Yes KAT TUN is my first JE artist that I knew. My roommate used to watch Cartoon KAT TUN at that time.
Then I found Yamaoi which leads me to know about NEWS and then Arashi

I had never even heard of JE before finding Arashi in 2013. I was never really into boybands and hadn't really watched much from Japan aside from a few Anime and some horror movies. I'm pretty sure preteen me would be very surprised that I ended up being so into this stuff.

When I first got into Arashi at their inception, i knew they belonged to agency but I didn't pay much attention to it. I was more interested in the characters of the chaps and all that. It was only a while later that I learnt about JE.

I was a HUGE NEWS fan back in 2007 but then I decided to watch an Arashi concert and it was all UPHILL from there

I was already in Kinki Kids fandom since 2004. After I discovered Kat-tun, News and Kanjani8 (which is my second favourite group from JE).

My friend introduced me to Arashi along with other JE bands one day (I was sad and wanted to know about her "happy Japanese boybands"). Arashi were the ones I fell in love with, and I gradually learnt about JE as I was learning about Arashi. So I kind of found out about both on the same day.

I knew about JE through a friend of mine, who really loves NEWS, and I had heard of KAT-TUN (although i didn't realise they were part of JE), but I didn't start looking at JE groups until I fell in love with Arashi.

I hadn't got a clue when I found Arashi. It was through them that I got to know JE. I didn't even know about other groups at the time.

I didn't know about JE before I found Arashi. It was after I joined the fandom that I learnt about JE and other JE groups.

I knew about Domoto Tsuyoshi and Kimura Takuya back in the 90's, but only as actors. So no...?

I didn't know anything about JE, it actually took me a while to actually learn what JE was and that they represented practically all the boy bands in Japan. As strange as it sounds, I don't like boy bands, except of course for Arashi, so I had no real chance of knowing about JE. I like some songs from other JE bands, like the InuYasha song by V6 and Rescue by Kat-tun which I totally love, but I didn't care to which agency the bands belonged to. When I found Arashi I was still getting to know J-pop and visual kei, but I've always cared more about the music than the agencies.

Nope. I only learned JE months later after joining the Arashi fandom. I was pretty clueless about it.

Literally had no idea despite having downloaded a few V6 songs years prior. I was a bit shook when I realized my first Johnny's group was not Arashi~

I only knew about JE when I entered the fandom. I didn't even know something like Jhonny's exists back then.

I followed NewS back in 2006-2008, but since yamapi out from the group, I slowly stopped from JE's world and turn into kpop fans. and in 2016 I started to following Arashi until now

Yes, but very vaguely ... now I know more about Japanese entertainment than that of my country ^^ "
